* The teams finishing 16th & 17th in the Eredivisie go into seperate play-off groups with the 2nd to 7th teams from the Eerste Divisie for a place in the Eredivisie.

Group A - Vitesse finish top, VVV-Venlo are runners up.

Group B - De Graafschap finish top, Heracles Almelo are runners up.

Summary

Vitesse retain their place in the Eredivisie.

De Graafschap are promoted to the Eredivisie, taking the place of FC Volendam who are relegated to the Eerste Divisie.
