* Rangers liquidation

During the season, Rangers went into administration in February 2012. At the end of the season, after failing to exit administration, when an agreement with its creditors was rejected, Rangers were voted out of the SPL. Dundee FC who had finished second in the First Division took Rangers place for the 2012/13 season.
